This tour will offer you the opportunity to understand the tragic history of Korea, which is presently divided into two countries by the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) made as a result of Korean War. About 44km from Seoul, Demiltarized Zone was established by the Korean Armistice Agreement which was singed on July 27, 1953 to bring a truce to the Korean War.
In this tour, you will visit Imjingak, built in 1972 to soothe the sorrow of those who had to flee their hometowns in North Korea and left their families behind during the Korean War; Freedom Bridge, the point of interruption of Gyeongeuiseon Rail Road which was originally connected to Sineuiju City of North Korea from Seoul before the break af Korean War; Dora Observatory, from which you can view the village of North Korea; The 3rd Tunnel, which was allegedly built by the North Koreans in 1978 for a second sneak attack to South Korea; shopping at Itaewon, a focal point of imported and native goods.
